Venice Beach Drum Circle – January 2010

On a bike ride from Santa Monica to Venice Beach, Jennifer and I had the chance to see a drum circle. Cool stuff – if you’re in the area I hope you get a chance to check it out.

We Got Bikes!

Today me and Jennifer bought bikes from Craigslist and took them to Santa Monica Beach for our first test run! Jennifer got a baby blue Schwinn Ranger and I got a red Mongoose Beach Cruiser for $120 each.

Metro Bus and Police block Santa Monica Blvd

On 3122 Santa Monica Blvd today, January 26th at 3:36 pm PST (in front of matrixx) all 4 lanes were closed by police with people (from the bus?) standing against the wall of the building. Since I could not see another car but the bus was in a weird angle it makes me wonder if the driver had a medical condition or perhaps a rauccous on the bus!? (rhyme intended 
Regardless, the whole event seemed short-lived and not really newsworthy, but it was a minor inconvenience when it obstructed my route and curious what happened … kinda … well ok, not really but only because I doubt I'll ever find out.
